Rules and Regulations
1
Attendance and Punctuality:
1.1. All students are expected to attend Sinhala School regularly.
1.2. Students must arrive on time for classes; latecomers may not be allowed to join the session.

Behaviour and Conduct:
2.1. Students are expected to behave in a respectful and courteous manner towards teachers, staff, and fellow students.
2.2. Use of inappropriate language, bullying, or disruptive behaviour is strictly prohibited.

Dress Code:
3.1. Students should adhere to a modest and appropriate dress code during Sinhala School sessions as well as for the Dancing class.
3.2. Clothing with offensive or inappropriate images or messages is not allowed.

Learning Materials:
4.1. Students are responsible for bringing the necessary learning materials, such as textbooks and notebooks, to each class.

Parental Involvement:
5.1. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child's learning experience.
5.2. Parental involvement may include attending parent-teacher meetings, volunteering, and participating in school events.

Electronic Devices:
6.1. The use of electronic devices, including smartphones and tablets, is not allowed during Sinhala School sessions unless required for educational purposes.
6.2. Students must keep their devices switched off or in silent mode.

Respect for Cultural Sensitivity:
7.1. Students must show respect for the cultural values and practices taught in Sinhala School.
7.2. Discrimination or disrespectful behaviour based on cultural differences will not be tolerated.

Safety and Emergency Procedures:
8.1. Students and staff must adhere to safety guidelines and emergency procedures established by Balaclava State School.
8.2. In case of an emergency, students must follow the instructions of teachers and staff.

Communication Channels:
9.1. Official communication from Sinhala School will be conveyed through designated channels, such as Viber and official notices.
9.2. Parents are encouraged to communicate with the school administration through established channels for any concerns or queries.

Notification of Absence:
10.1. Parents or guardians are required to notify the Sinhala School in advance if a student will be absent from a session.
10.2. Notifications should be made via the designated communication channels, such as Viber or Phone.

Disciplinary Actions:
11.1. Violation of rules may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, parent meetings, or temporary suspension from classes.
11.2. Repeated or severe violations may lead to expulsion from Sinhala School.
